NMTA Events are held the first weekend of every month. The reason for exceptions is listed in the Notes column.
The following is from an e-mail from Chris Porter to the Rocky Mountain Region,
Good morning everyone, I would like to inform you all of the latest development in getting a Twinshock class actually going with NMTA. Recently the club voted to have dedicated lines in each respective class, eliminating the “split” lines that we had last year. I heard last year that some of the split lines were a bit too much for the Twinshock competitors, so that has been eliminated this year. The class line you choose will adhere to the spirit and skill level of that class, period. Also if there is enough competitors in Twinshock, the winners will be recognized with medals and a year-end plaques. The key here is enough competitors. I have already committed myself to riding Twinshock this year, parking my 4RT so that this class can get off the ground. What I would like is some competition. Bobby Rowland rode his 347 this past event also, but I don’t think he is going to do that all year long (are you Bob?) The class will fail with only one clown on a TY80 riding it. If more competitors show up, then maybe I can ride the Reflex and get whupped properly. It all boils down to having New Mexico (and surrounding areas) Twinshock competitors coming to ride NMTA events. The current NMTA board has given its blessing to having the class, and rewarding those who win and place. If no one (but me) competes, then the class will die. I would really like to avoid that. Spread the word. Come out and have fun with us. Any questions can be directed to me here at this address. Regards Chris Porter
